Wyzetalk
The metrics behind traditional PR have wowed Red Ribbon Communications’ clients for years, but what our latest data shows is how PR is having a huge impact on our clients’ digital performance.
Wyzetalk, a mobile employee engagement platform, appointed Red Ribbon as its retained PR agency in July 2024 with the specific mandate of improving their backlink strategy with authority links.
The first thought leadership article received coverage across broadcast and tech media reaching 7 individual pieces by 18 July in the kick-off month. In terms of digital PR impact, these 18 days of media coverage resulted in 100% of all new referral traffic to Wyzetalk’s website stemming from media publications targeted.
In the first 6 months of the relationship, 87% of all external referral traffic to Wyzetalk’s website was facilitated through publications Red Ribbon leveraged with thought leadership press coverage.
This is a huge improvement from the three months before Red Ribbon’s campaign was launched, where no external referral traffic was registered. The authority of referral traffic sources was further boosted by the quality of the coverage Red Ribbon secured with respected publications - further providing a base for other publications to aggregate from.
Noteworthy news media organisations that covered Wyzetalk’s specific content-requirement, included: ITWeb, Cape Talk, LotusFM, Engineering News, Mining Weekly, IT Online, and Retail Brief Africa.
In total, for the six-month period, 46% of media coverage obtained came from tech publications, 31% from business publications, 15% from mainstream news publications and 8% from broadcast media, where interviews were secured.
